Acadia finishes second at AUS Swimming Championships
The Acadia Axewomen capped off a stellar performance at the 2025 Bell AUS Swimming Championships in Saint John, finishing second overall in the team standings with 956.5 points, just behind Dalhousie (983.5). The Axemen also had an outstanding meet, securing second place with 802.5 points, trailing Dalhousie (980).
Acadia's success was highlighted by several major awards:
- Ella Collins was named AUS Female Swimmer of the Year.
- Alex Jonsen-Humble took home AUS Male Rookie Swimmer of the Year and AUS Male Rookie Swimmer of the Meet honours.
- Kris Bell was named AUS Women's Swimming Coach of the Year.

The Axewomen fought fiercely until the final relays, and the Axemen posted strong individual and team efforts throughout the meet. With U SPORTS qualifiers secured, Acadia now shifts its focus to the national stage, ready to take on the country's best. The 2025 U SPORTS national championship is being hosted by the University of Toronto from March 6-8.
