Four Axewomen recognized as AUS all-stars
Acadia University's women's soccer team had a successful season, highlighted by individual achievements in the 2024 Atlantic University Sport (AUS) awards. Among the standout Axewomen, Mya Harnish was named to the AUS First Team All-Star team for her performance as a defender. In her fifth year, Harnish's defensive skills contributed significantly to the Axewomen's resilience on the field.
Joining her, Leah Adams, a fourth-year defender, received Second Team All-Star honors. Adams demonstrated consistency and skill throughout the season, contributing both defensively and with a key assist in her 12 starts.
In the forward line, third-year Abbey Aucoin and fourth-year Alli Kelly both earned spots on the Second Team All-Stars. Aucoin tallied four goals and five assists in just eight games, while Kelly contributed five goals over the season, showing remarkable efficiency with a .600 shot-on-goal percentage.
Harnish was previously a first team all-star (2023-24) and second team all-star (2021-22). For Adams and Aucoin, there were previosuly second team all-stars in 2023-24.
