Axewomen finish fourth again in Moncton Meet

MONCTON, N.B. - The Axewomen Cross Country finished fourth in their third AUS cross country meet of the season, this time in Moncton. For the third meet in a row the Axewomen have finished fourth amongst six to seven opponents.

For the second meet in a row, first year runnder MacKenzie Seagram finished with the highest time for the Axewomen. At the University of New Brunswick two weeks ago, Seagram finished first amongst the Acadia squad.

Seagram led the way this past meet in Moncton with a 17th finish overall with a time of 24:40.20 with teammates Ellen Taggart (26:24.20) and Sarah Drisdelle (25:59.30) trailing Seagram with a 26th and 29th place finishes respectively.

Missing from the Moncton results was the opening meet at Acadia Sept 13 top Acadia runner Emily Annand.

The Axewomen complete the regular season at the Antigonish - StFX - Interlock Meet on October 11 before the AUS Championships hosted by Saint Mary's on October 25th.
