Axewomen finish third at StFX Invitational
ANTIGONISH - The Acadia Axewomen cross country team finished third at the StFX Invitational on Sunday to start their competition season.
ANTIGONISH - The Acadia Axewomen cross country team finished third at the StFX Invitational on Sunday to start their competition season.
They finished with a total score of 82, with StFX winning the event with a total of 15. The UPEI Panthers finished second with 70.
Ella Campbell finished the 8km race with a time of 33:41 to lead the Axewomen, just outside the top 10 in 11th place.
Ava Stefanovich-Thomson finished 14th at 34:13.
Rounding out the top 20 in back-to-back spots were Clemetine MacLeod and Paris Buchanan.
Acadia's final three runners were Anne-Sophie Le Rudulier, Lauren Doyle and Taylor Long, who finished 27, 28 and 35th respectively.
The next event for the Axewomen is Saturday, Sept. 23 at Hennigar's Farm.
