The Acadia Axewomen cross country team finished sixth on Saturday at the UNB Invitational hosted at Kingswood Resort.
Laval Rouge-et-Or were the top squad on the day, with STFX being the top AUS school in second place in the team standings.
Ava Stefanovich-Thomson was the top Acadia runner with a time of 32:59 in 29th place. Her time was her fastest in competition so far during the 2023 season.
In 34th place, Ella Campbell finished in 33:14 for Acadia.
The Axewomen had Paris Buchanan, Clementine MacLeod and Madesan Allen all finish within a minute of each other with 56th, 59th and 63rd place finishes respectively.
Rounding out Acadia competitors on the day were Taylor Long in 81st (37:26), Anne-Sophie Le Rudulier in 82nd (37:27), Lauren Doyle in 95th (38:54) and Amanda Daniels in 100th (41:48).
The next competition for the Axewomen is the AUS championship, which will be hosted in Halifax on October 28.
