Axewomen finish sixth at STFX Invitational
At the 2024 STFX Invitational women's 8k race on Saturday in Antigonish, the Acadia Axewomen finished sixth overall with a team score of 153 points.
Acadia's top runner, Ella Campbell, placed 34th with a time of 34:19. Close behind was Anne-Sophie Le Rudulier, who finished 39th in 34:52. Clementine MacLeod was 40th, finishing in 34:54. Maggie Graves placed 44th, crossing the line in 35:37, and Lauren Doyle completed Acadia's scoring in 46th with a time of 35:47.
Additional Acadia runners contributed to the team's overall performance. Ava Joseph finished 49th in 36:37, and Amanda Daniels was 51st, clocking 38:17.
The Axewomen's total time was 2:55:29, with an average of 35:05 per runner.
The top individual finisher was Zoe Mosher, who completed the course in 30:52. St. Francis Xavier University won the team title with 24 points, a total time of 2:36:47 and an average of 31:21 per runner.
Acadia will now prepare for the Moncton Invitational on October 5, which is followed by the AUS championship on October 26 in St. John's, Nfld. and hosted by Memorial.
