From Kentville, she is no stranger to the Acadia athletic community having competed as a member of the Acadia swim team.
Maggie's background is impressive, with a strong history of success across multiple sports. She was a standout athlete at Horton High School, where she earned numerous accolades, including the athlete of the year award (2019-20), the Ron O’Flaherty scholar-athlete award, and the exemplary participation award.
Her achievements extend to the national level, having been selected for Team Canada at the North American triathlon championship (elite junior) in Sarasota, FL, and competing in the 2022 Canada Summer Games as part of the Nova Scotia triathlon team.
In addition to her athletic accomplishments, she is a dedicated student, pursuing a degree in kinesiology. She is also the recipient of the prestigious Arthur L. Irving Family Foundation Scholarship.
"As a multi-sport athlete who swam last year on the Acadia varsity swim team, I am thrilled to be a member of the Acadia cross country team. I had the pleasure of running with Ralph Williams as a young athlete. It’s wonderful to be back on his team with a group of such welcoming and dedicated athletes."
