We are very excited here at Acadia Football about what we have started this recruiting season and believe this is the beginning of a great 2015 recruiting class. Axemen family!

Eric Fraser - 6'2 265 - DT - Lasalle Secondary School - Team Ontario U-19 (Sudbury,ON) “ Eric is a very tough and physical defensive linemen and has a great take-off. We believe his combination of speed and strength will allow him to continue our strength along the interior of the defensive line. Eric has great leadership skills and is very excited to be a part of Coach Pete Fraser’s legacy of all-Canadian D Linemen. ”

Jamarcus Vigliotti Williams - 5'11 175 - DB/KR - St. Patrick High School - 2012 OVFL JV All-Star DB / 2014 NCAFA All-Star REC (Ottawa, ON) “Jamarcus is a very good all-around athlete and is electric with the ball in his hands. His ability to play man to man coverage at the HS and OVFL level gives him a leg up on most young Corners. We are always looking for men who can do things on specials and Jamarcus is happy to do whatever he can to win football games”

Colin Murney - 6'4 190 - REC/P/K - Lockview High School - Team Nova Scotia (2014 Canada Cup) / 2013 and 2014 Nova Scotia High School All-Star REC / 2014 Nova Scotia High School Outstanding Punter/Kicker (Waverley, NS) “ Colin’s size at Receiver blends nicely with our offense and it will allow him to follow in the footsteps of the maritime receivers we have had in the past. Colin also place kicks which adds to his value as a player. We expect big things from this big receiver out of Lockview.”

André Boudreault - 6'2 180 - DB - Charles P. Allen High School - Team Nova Scotia (2014 Canada Cup) / 2014 Nova Scotia High School All-Star DB (Hammonds Plains, NS) “Andre first caught our eye at the AUS camps and then proceeded to impress on team NS this summer. He has a big frame at the free safety position and is very rangy. After he gets into the weight room and learns the system Andre will be somebody to fear in the back end”

Brad Bevan - 6'1 200 - LB - Charles P. Allen High School - Team Nova Scotia (2013 Canada Cup) / 2014 Nova Scotia High School All-Star LB (Bedford, NS) “ Brad is the second CPA linebacker in consecutive years that is coming to wear the Red and Blue here at Acadia and we couldn’t be happier. Brad will mix it up with anyone and has been known to change the game with some of his big hits, We expect Brad to come here and work his tail off on specials right away and learn the game from his former team mate Jesse Boudreau.”

Matthew Gilmore - 6'3 240 - OL - Oromocto High School (Oromocto, NB) “Matthew is a very talented and coachable offensive linemen with a huge upside. Matt is extremely bright in the class room and translates that brilliance onto the field when picking up schemes. With some work in the weight room and help from the vets, it won’t be long before Matt is dressing and playing for us. He and Riley Spear continue our recruiting success from Oromocto high school in New”

Riley Spear - 5'8 150 - REC - Oromocto High School - Team New Brunswick (2013 Canada Cup) / 2014 New Brunswick Western Conference All-Star (Waterville, NB) “Riley is a very versatile athlete who plays on both sides of the ball and returns kicks too. He is explosive despite his diminutive size and will surprise you if you’re not ready for it. He and Matthew Gilmore continue our recruiting success from Oromocto high school in New Brunswick”

Mitchel Deware - 5'10 210 - LB/LS - Bernice MacNaughton High School - Team New Brunswick (2012 and 2013 Canada Cup) / 2014 New Brunswick High School Eastern Conference Defensive Player of the Year (Moncton, NB) “Mitch comes to us as a second generation Axemen following his father Mike’s path. However Mitch has set a course of his own garnering defensive MVP awards for New Brunswick high school football and defensive MVP honors provincially on team New Brunswick. We hope that Mitch can replicate the same successes here at Acadia University.”

Eugene J. Mcminns - 6'1 190 - REC - Holland College - 2013 Rookie of the Year / National Decathlon Champion (Nassau, Bahamas) “Eugene (aka Shocker) comes to us by way of Holland College in PEI where he excelled as a freshman Receiver last year and worked through some injuries in 2014, all the while maintaining game breaking abilities, receiving and returning the football. Eugene instantly becomes one of the fastest players in the conference and his athletic ability will allow him to be a weapon sooner rather than later here at Acadia. Eugene is a former national level decathlete from the Bahamas where he grew up and it shows every time you watch him play a game or practice. ”

Nick Bynkoski - 6'4 220 - QB - Monroe College / Fayetteville State University / Atlanta Sports Academy / Cowichan Secondary School - 2011 BC Senior Bowl Western Offensive Player of the Game (Duncan, BC) “Nick Bynkoski is not your traditional 6’4 pocket QB, as he is very athletic and his feet help him get out of trouble when the pocket breaks down. Nick has a strong arm and has played against top level competition in high school, prep school and junior college, which is why we expect Nick to come in ready to compete the winter starting in January.”
