Potter and Kay named Acadia athletes of the week
Noah Potter (football) and Taylor Kay (women’s soccer) have been named Acadia athletes of the week for the period ending Oct. 5 following strong performances in AUS action.
Potter, a first-year business administration student from Charlottetown, P.E.I., recorded 104 rushing yards on 23 carries and added three receptions for 14 yards in Saturday’s game against St. F. X.
Kay, a second-year business administration student from Kemptville, Ont., delivered two strong performances, anchoring Acadia’s midfield with composure, work rate and creativity. She led the team’s press, disrupted opposing attacks and consistently regained possession to spark Acadia’s offence. Kay’s ability to control tempo and link play made her a key presence in both games.
The Acadia athletes of the week are presented by McDonald’s.
