Thomas Couture

Thomas Couture (men’s hockey) has been named Acadia male athlete of the week for the period ending Oct. 12.

Couture, a third-year business administration student from Lévis, Que., made 42 saves in a 4-3 win over the No. 1-ranked UNB REDS and added 33 more in a 3-1 victory over UPEI to complete a weekend sweep at home. His 75 total saves led all AUS goaltenders on the weekend. Couture’s .921 save percentage ranks second in the conference, while his 129 total saves lead all AUS netminders this season.
