Daughter of Joanne and Dave Fairfax, Alana has been a part of the Valley United Soccer Club for the past 11 years where she is currently a member of the Senior Premiere Women’s team. She was a member of the 2009 Nova Scotia Canada Games Women’s Soccer team and 2011 Nova Scotia Canada Games Ringette team. She was Acadia Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Year in 2010, the AUS student-athlete community service award winner for Women’s Soccer in 2012 and 2013, and was awarded the CIS Women’s Soccer student-athlete community service award in 2012. She was Acadia Women’s Soccer Most Valuable Player in 2012 and was a co-recipient of the award last year. She was named the AUS James Bayer Memorial Scholarship Award winner in 2014 and is a four-time Academic All-Canadian. Alana is a student director of the Acadia S.M.I.L.E. program, an executive member of Acadia Global Brigades, volunteers weekly at the Wolfville Nursing Home and Acadia Cardiac Rehabilitation Program and has a profound love for sour candy.
