WOLFVILLE – Provincial champion Rachel Veale has committed to the Acadia women’s basketball program for the 2024-25 season, joining her hometown university.

WOLFVILLE – Thomas Couture (men’s hockey) and Rio Yamazaki (women’s basketball) have been named Acadia athletes of the week for the period ending February 18.

FREDERICTON - With second seed on the line on Saturday afternoon, the Axewomen fell 91-87 to the UNB REDS to finish third at the conclusion of conference play.

WOLFVILLE – The Acadia Axewomen topped the No. 10 ranked UNB Reds 83-76 on Wednesday night, led by Rio Yamazaki (Tokyo, Japan) off the bench for Acadia.

WOLFVILLE – Alaina McMillan (Brantford, ON) was successful from the free throw line with just 0.3 remaining in Saturday’s game, hitting two of three shots, to lift Saint Mary’s to a narrow 81-79 victory over the Acadia Axewomen.

HALIFAX, NS – Saint Mary’s guard Alaina McMillan scored 16 points in her final regular season home game as the Huskies defeated the Acadia Axewomen 76-63 in Atlantic University Sport Women’s Basketball action on Thursday night at the Homburg Centre in Halifax.

OTTAWA – Today, U SPORTS celebrates the eight best and brightest university student-athletes from across Canada Wednesday night, unveiling the student-athletes selected as Top 8 Academic All-Canadians for the 2022-23 season.

WOLFVILLE – Brendan Sellan (men’s hockey) and Samantha Russell (women’s basketball) have been named Acadia athletes of the week for the period ending February 4.

ANTIGONISH – The Acadia Axewomen extended their win streak to four games with a 68-52 victory over the STFX X-Women Wednesday night on Coach K Court at the STFX Saputo Centre. The win also avenged an earlier 76-65 loss to the same X squad in Wolfville earlier this month.
